CRAFTER KIDS
FELT FLOWER WREATH
Shaping felt into flowers is a relaxing and enjoyable art form. With delicate cuts and gentle folds, the pliable material transforms into petals, with each contour and curve meticulously crafted to mimic the grace of nature's blooms. After practicing basic techniques of flower construction, such as making and shaping petals and crafting flower centers, you’ll be ready to add a pop of nature to just about anything.

Fun Facts
- Wool felt is the oldest known fabric and the only fabric made without weaving or stitches.
- Wool is highly flame retardant and will extinguish itself if it catches fire.
- Musical instruments such as guitars and drums are often lined with felt.
- You can add felt flowers to headbands, hair clips, refrigerator magnets, and more. Brainstorm a few ideas and see where your imagination takes you.
About the Artist: Liz Wagner
Liz Wagner finds joy in guiding crafters of all ages through the creative process. As a mother of five and kindergarten educator, she delights in the innate and uninhibited creative spirit that young makers bring to the workshop table.
“Venturing into nature to look closely at flowers is a wonderful way to expand your creative imagination. Deconstructing each part to discover how nature builds beautiful things grows your mind’s library of techniques to use in crafting. I love how we can mimic nature’s beauty with wool felt to create something permanent.”
Liz lives in sunny San Diego with her family of 7. She is crazy about her four chickens, gardening, and making something from nothing.
