Twill Weaving Digital Pattern

Lindsay Campbell shares with us a classic twill pattern in both full grid and border format. This simple and beautiful repeat can be used for any grid weaving project such as: locker hooking, frame weaving, Pibione, and so forth. To created a ‘bordered twill’ effect, Lindsay shares to follow the lines of the pattern alone (avoiding the top and bottom) and filling in with a complementary weft color.

Frame Weaving Workshop

Led by artist Lindsey Campbell of Hello Hydrangea, our frame weaving kit and workshop guides you through a specialized technique: weaving yarn in floating patterns on a fixed, notch and peg-less frame. The end result? A modern black-and-white decor piece that’s ready to hang in your home.  Lindsey guides you through the basics of frame weaving, including warping the wood and navigating the two included patterns. But this workshop isn’t just for beginners—experienced weavers will learn new techniques, including the crochet-inspired chain stitch, to create beautiful fiber art. Carry what you learn with you on your crafting journey and use these techniques to weave custom patterns on frames of all sizes.

Handcrafted Large Maple Loom - 18" x 25"

Our custom large frame maple loom is handmade in Southern California and is a generous 18x25" size for wall tapestries and weavings. This loom is provided in both our Pibione Tapestry Weaving Workshop and our Woven Geometric Shapes Workshop and can be used for a variety of weaving projects. It's shipped disassembled and is easily put together with a Philips screwdriver (we love that despite its large size it can easily be transported for weaving on the go or storage).

Our custom maple loom:

  • an 18x25” large loom (total size)
  • weaving space of roughly 15x20" (maximum size of tapestries that can be woven on this loom)
  • made of hardwood maple in small batches
  • legs can be purchased as an optional add-on for tabletop weaving
