The Versatility & Ease of Punch Needle Embroidery
Punch needle is the “craft for the non-crafty” because it is easy to learn and nearly impossible to put down. If you make a mistake, it’s not a problem. The art of needle punch embroidery is quite forgiving, allowing crafters to fix mistakes easily. When you’re finished, you’ll have a gorgeous punch needle patch that can be added to anything an adhesive will stick to. Enjoying brainstorming the endless possibilities.
About the Artist: Sallie Dale
Sallie Dale started her business, The Urban Acres, in 2019 to bring in extra income so she could stay home with her daughter while pursuing creativity and teaching others to do the same. As a busy mom, Sallie knows how important it is to have a hobby that brings some peace in stressful moments, which is why she especially loves creating beautiful, easy-to-follow punch needle tutorials for makers like herself.
Sallie’s beginner needle punch kits are sold in over 100 stores nationwide and have been featured on Hallmark.com, Better Homes & Gardens, and Good Morning America. “Something I never would have dreamed of when I first started,” says Sallie. This year also marks the first year of her Punch Rug Club, which offers participants a chance to make their own punch needle rug.
Sallie Dale is a wife, mother, and punch needle artist in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When she’s not chasing two busy toddlers around, you can find her playing with punch needles to create full-size rugs, slippers, home decor, and more. Punch needle has been a fantastic hobby for her as a mother because she can mostly do it one-handed!
