Ice Dyeing Digital Class
Did you know that you can convert plain yarn into vibrant skeins using a few dyes and some ice cubes? In fact, no two hand-dyed skeins are the same! Dyed yarn skeins are ideal for embellishing your living space, adding flair to a party, or presenting as a thoughtful gift to knitting enthusiasts.
In this workshop, Liz demonstrates the fascinating process of handling and preparing raw yarn skeins for ice dyeing. She will delve into color theory, offering expert advice on blending different color combinations, and provide practical tips to help young crafters achieve their desired yarn aesthetics. Once the yarn has absorbed the dyes and ice water, Liz will guide you through the final steps required to finish and dry each yarn skein.
By the end of this workshop, you will have crafted two uniquely hand-dyed yarn skeins. If you prefer to save your skeins for later use, Liz will explain the proper storage methods. Alternatively, you will receive easy-to-follow instructions on creating pom poms, tassels, and garlands using your one-of-a-kind dyed yarn.
