Mica Watercolor Set

This set is perfect to continue exploring all of the tessellations and geometric patterns taught in our Eastern Geometric Drawing & Painting workshop. Our main workshop kit includes the mica Olympic Gold watercolor, but we are just swooning over the entire metallic set!

Finetec Artist Mica Watercolors are made with mica, a natural mineral that shimmers and shines. They’re ideal for adding special effects and highlights to watercolor paintings, and also for calligraphy. We personally love the metallic tessellations Zahra created in her inspiring Islamic Geometric paintings pictured here.

This special watercolor set adheres to all absorbent surfaces — including paper, wood, and stone. Just imagine the fine art pieces you can create if you pair this metallic set with our black watercolor paper! The six watercolors come in a tin palette with each color pan measuring approximately 1-1/16″ in diameter. Each watercolor pan is removable and replaceable, so you can continue painting for years to come. Another great feature we love about this set is the mixing areas and space for a couple of short-handle brushes in the tin palette.
