From the ancient craft of smocking to contemporary techniques like gathering and tucking, this workshop is your gateway to the world of three-dimensional textile art.
CONSTRUCT YOUR PERSONALIZED PILLOW COVER
Whether you're a seasoned sewing enthusiast or a beginner looking for a rewarding project, this pillow pattern is designed with simplicity and comfort. Following step-by-step instructions, you'll create a personalized pillow cover that suits your style and adds a touch of coziness to any space. The front of the pillow is a great place to show off your fabric manipulation skills.
The back of the pillow is designed with an envelope-style opening, which consists of overlapping panels on the back that create a pocket-like opening. This opening allows easy insertion and removal of the pillow form without zippers, buttons, or snaps. You can choose from two sizes: a 12x20” lumbar pillow cover or a 16x16” square pillow cover. A sewing machine is recommended for durability and speed, but you can achieve this pattern with simple hand sewing as well.
This workshop was designed with ample room for hands-on exploration and play with manipulating fabric.
