Rug Tufting Maple Frame without Legs
$160
Want to get started on rug tufting and already have our Maple Standing Tapestry Loom? We have collaborated with the same woodworkers to offer a handmade 48″ x 48″ rug tufting frame and stabilizing foot stand that can be used with the same frame legs from the Maple Standing Tapestry Loom in either the 36″ or 48″ size), allowing you to purchase only what you’ll need.
The maple frame is handmade by local San Diego woodworkers, and is an add-on for the Rug Tufting Premium Workshop with Meg Brunston. Designed specifically for rug tufting, this specific frame has carpet tack and eyelets for the yarn, and includes a stabilizing foot stand. In the original workshop, Meg demonstrates how to use a rug tufting gun, apply adhesive, add backing fabric, and complete the finishing trim.
Please note that if you have the Maple Standing Tapestry Loom, the warping bars/frame will not work for tufting and modifications will need to be made. You will need to install a stabilizing foot stand by drilling holes in your existing loom legs. If you do not wish to drill holes into your loom legs, you can stabilize or brace the legs using objects like sand bags or heavy free weights. This will help prevent your set up from tipping over when using your tufting gun.
This rug tufting frame listing includes:
- Maple rug tufting frame, 48″ x 48″
- Foot stand
- Assembly instructions
Note: This listing is intended to accompany Meg Brunston’s Rug Tufting Premium Workshop. Purchasing this add-on listing by itself will not allow access to Meg’s digital class or include all the materials in the original workshop.
