More About Our Collaboration with Janelle Gramling

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Janelle Gramling, the incredible ceramic and fiber artist who created the Double Noodle Candlestick Holder. Janelle’s creations run the gamut of everything from small housewares to large scale community projects. Her use of different mediums is inspiring, ranging from porcelain and yarn to wood and steel. Janelle learned the art of ceramics from her mother-in-law in 2012 and quickly fell in love, incorporating it into her crafting repertoire.

From a studio in Milwaukee, Janelle designs and makes pieces that often combine fiber, ceramics, and found objects. From innovative hanging sculptures to small modern earrings, Janelle’s passion for raw natural materials shines through in each piece. One of our favorites is a three-piece wooden sculpture garden in the shape of a dragon, built in partnership with a local school. Janelle worked with the 3rd-to-5th grade students to design the tiles which would eventually become the dragon’s scales.

• A Double Noodle Candlestick Holder

This versatile stoneware taper candle holder was designed by artists Melissa and Jonathan of A Question of Eagles, a small pottery studio based in Indianapolis. It can be flipped on either side to show off your candles. Melissa and Jonathan describe their style as Rustic Modernists which for them means “an interest in clean modern shapes with an earthy handmade bent.”

This custom holder is especially lovely as a set to feature your custom taper or pillar candles year round.

This professional quality cutting mat is an add-on for the Rolled Beeswax Candles Workshop with Liz Wagner and will make cutting your beeswax sheets easy and precise. The yellow grid lines ensure even measurements, and the 18 x 24" mat acts as an ideal work surface for rolling your beeswax candles. At 1.5mm thick, the cutting mat would also work for rotary cutting, sewing, and quilting.
