Botanical Textiles: Eco-Printing & Boro Stitching Digital Class
$30
In this workshop video, students will learn the art of eco-printing—a botanical dyeing technique that uses leaves and blooms to create soft, organic patterns on fabric. Instructor Amanda Whited walks through two beginner-friendly methods: steam printing and hapazome hammer printing. Once the prints are set and revealed, students will focus on slow stitching to create boro-inspired trivets or coasters. Boro is a traditional Japanese mending style that uses layered textiles and visible hand stitching to create both beauty and utility. You’ll learn beginner friendly hand-stitching techniques to piece and embellish your coasters with your eco-printed fabrics.
