Create your own custom candles with our fully customizable candle making kit. Our materials kit will get you started with 3 lbs of wax, 30 wicks, and eight of Craft + Foster’s signature fragrances. Choose to add on additional soy wax for even more making. Then select from a variety of hand-crafted vessels or simple gold tins. We’ve curated a collection of unique ceramic designs from talented artisans including Paper & Clay, A Question of Eagles, Utility Objects, Tiny Badger, and The Object Enthusiast.

How to build your candle making kit:

Choose from multiple candles vessels and add the quantity you would like of each style.
Add our candle making materials kit which includes:
- 3 lbs soy wax
- (30) 6″ pre-tabbed wicks in various thicknesses
- 32 large wick stickers
- 20 fragrance blotter strips
- 1 oz fragrance oils of sandalwood, vanilla, amber, and vetiver
- 2 oz fragrance oils of blue spruce, cypress & bayberry, fireside, and leather & teak
Add an additional 3 lbs of soy wax for additional candles if you’d like.
Make, create and blend as you please for a variety of cozy candles.

Note: Participating in our Poured Soy Candles Premium Workshop is required to be sure you have the tools and video instructions to complete your candles.

Poured Soy Candle Wax, 3 lbs

More candles, please! Once you’ve fallen in love with candle pouring, you’ll certainly want to keep creating. Refill empty vessels or make all-new candles with three extra pounds of soy wax. Compared to paraffin wax, soy wax burns cleaner (less soot) and slower (which means your candles will last longer).

The Object Enthusiast Candle Vessel

Emily Reinhardt of The Object Enthusiast customized a special batch of her beautiful black clay + gold tumblers for our candle makers.

We are over the moon to offer a beautiful handmade tumbler in collaboration with Emily of The Object Enthusiast. This is the sort of vessel you can build candles in again and again, it will become a piece of art for the home. These tumblers are made of pure black clay, the inside of the cup and top portion of the outside are finished in a glossy black glaze with 22k gold dash accents. The bottom two thirds of each cup are a beautiful matte black.

We’ve partnered with ceramic artist Aleisha Ellis of Utility Objects to bring you this limited edition, hand-crafted ceramic vessel—perfect for a special candle project. Aleisha’s unique and minimal designs truly showcase the beauty of the natural clay. The finished piece looks elegant on its own, or pairs beautifully with the apothecary jar and gold tin candles from the kit.

More About Our Collaboration with Utility Objects

We’re so excited to introduce you to Aleisha Ellis, the talented ceramic artist behind our stunning candle vessel—created especially for The Crafter’s Box as an optional add-on for our Poured Soy Candles Premium Workshop. Aleisha’s unique designs are minimal yet whimsical and organic, truly showcasing the splendor of the clay. Since 2018, she has been creating natural stoneware ceramics for the home under the brand Utility Objects. Aleisha’s passion for her craft shines through in every one of the ceramic forms she molds in her Atlanta-based pottery design studio. Her inspirations range from Scandinavian design to the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi.

Her ceramic artworks are not only elegant to the eye, but also functional for the home. Form meets function in these stylish pieces and it’s no wonder that Aleisha and her work have been featured in places like Dwell Magazine, New York Magazine, Architectural Digest, and Ceramic Review Magazine.

More About Our Poured Soy Candle Workshop Artists: Melissa & Chad Burgess of Craft & Foster

Husband-and-wife team, Melissa and Chad Burgess, have been creating custom soy candles for six years. The couple grew their business, Craft + Foster, from a local candle pop-up to a nationally recognized brand featured in Neiman Marcus, GQ, FabFitFun, and many more.

Melissa Burgess, wife, mother of four, and military veteran, received her first DIY candle kit in the spring of 2015 and quickly fell in love with the candle-making process. She found that it gave her a creative and therapeutic outlet while juggling the demands of motherhood and processing an ongoing journey with PTSD.

After signing up for a handful of local maker's markets, Melissa's unique blends, strong fragrant throws, and muted packaging quickly gained the attention of San Diego consumers and retailers alike. This early success eventually led to her husband Chad leaving corporate America and joining her in this "accidental candle company" full-time.
