We are celebrating by revisiting some of our most popular fall & winter workshops by bringing our favorite Heritage Workshops back—this line up includes some of our most beloved past workshops that have been out of stock for several years PLUS some of our cooler weather favorites.
Naturally Dyed Ribbon Workshop

This workshop dives into four natural dyes: logwood, wattle, cochineal (extract from a tiny bug found in the Southwest), and Himalayan rhubarb. You’ll find skeins of recycled silk sari and silk chiffon, along with pieces of our favorite linen blend and cotton velvet.
Strohsterne Workshop
Lindsey Campbell
Learn the art of Strohsterne to create straw stars using natural wheat stalks and cotton thread. In her workshop, Lindsey Campbell teaches us how to make six different star patterns in varying sizes, shapes, and techniques.
Tiled Block Print with Gradation Workshop
Mindy Schumacher
We'll explore block printing and the use of tessellated or tiled patterns to create custom hand block printed silk scarves.
Fluid Alcohol Ink Workshop
Ashley Mahlberg
Under Ashley's guidance, we will learn how to build abstract, organic art using ink + alcohol. When applied to the cradle board with air or heat, the ink dances across the surface creating beautiful movement.
Wood Burning Workshop
Rachel Strauss
Explore pyrography to burn on substrates such as wood, leather, and cork. You'll learn different techniques: transferring your art, burning different tool tips to outline, fill, and shade, and finally finishing to protect your work.
Hand Quilting Workshop
Elise Cripe
In this workshop Elise teaches us the process and technique of crafting a custom linen quilt from scratch. Utilizing hand quilting – and foregoing a traditional sewing machine – Elise shares how to layer, stitch and bind a cozy lap quilt.
Handcrafted Paper Foliage Workshop

Through carefully layered techniques of wet-on-wet watercolor, colored pencil shading, painting, drawing and wire manipulation, Corrie aligns various crafting materials to construct a life-like, trailing philodendron and silver dollar eucalyptus.
Linocut Landscape Printmaking Workshop

This workshop explores linoleum block carving in order to build beautiful landscape art through a relief printmaking process. Your kit will feature a beautifully fibrous bookmaking paper in various natural tones and an ergonomic hand carving v-tool.
Paper Star Lanterns Workshop

Zahra shares how to make three, 3-dimensional gold paper stars in different designs and sizes. The kit includes gorgeous cardstock, vellum sheets, carbon tracing paper, a craft knife, and a self-healing cutting mat.
Hand-Stitched Appliqué Workshop

In this workshop, Natalie shares her signature methods for both reverse appliqué and negative reverse appliqué to create a hand-stenciled Alabama Chanin design that highlights the two-layer nature of appliqué stitching in the Shades of Sand colorway.
